This is my energy drinks post

I like energy drinks. I've had around 150 different ones. So I like to think I know a thing or two about them. I recently decided who the best company is, and that's Rockstar. I decided this after the introduction of these:
These are two of the best energy drinks I've ever had, and they're both diet. Drink the pink one with the straw, it actually tastes better that way. Rockstar also happens to make my second favorite cola, after Jolt, and their juices are the best I've ever had. The only area they lack in is coffee. Monster Java and the Full Throttle coffees are much better. But it's whatever. Rockstar still wins.

I also recently decided that FRS makes the worst energy drinks ever. Half of them taste like throw up and the liquid is rather neon for some reason. I didn't even bother with my last one, I just poured it out so I could keep the can for my collection.

So, that's it. Just wanted to share. Chyeah-rs!

Hope...

...for the new Captain America movie.

Pictures have come out that show Chris Evans on the set of the new movie. He looks so much like Steve Rogers, it's ridiculous. I can't think of a legitimate reason for him to be wearing fake feet, though. I don't know why, but I feel a lot better about him playing Captain America after seeing these pictures. Being a hardcore Rogers fan myself, this is a good thing. In case you didn't know I've been reading mad comics lately. Civil War and Reborn as far as Captain America goes. I still have my doubts though. Chris Evans is funny and all... but that's not really what the role calls for. Still, I shall remain optimistic.

More images!

Hopefully the movie won't suck. Chyeah chyeah and whatnots.

Red Review

So I just re-read Red and since we don't have any comic book reviews, I figured why not. The movie is out, so at least it's relevant. This'll probably be short since I don't want my review to end up longer than the comic itself (which is only 3 issues).

Red tells of Paul Moses, a retired CIA agent who is ordered to be killed by the new director. The only reason we're given for this is that Moses has commited too many horrible acts while serving as an agent. They never go into any specifics except for the assassination of JFK and a few other public figures, but that's probably for the best. Pretty much the entire thing is Moses killing everyone in sight. Which is definitely crazy awesome. But despite that and it's length, it's actually pretty deep. Showing what can happen to someone who was turned into a monster by the country he was out to serve and protect and all that jazz.

So that's it. Told you it'd be short. I rate this comic one arrow through the skull. Go out and read it. It's so short that there's no excuse not to.

Fight Club Dual Review

If you havent seen this movie. Go out to Walmart, Target, or whatever your preferred retailer is, and make the purchase of a life time.

Reviewing Fight Club is only second to reviewing a masterpiece like the Mona Lisa. What do you say? "It is masterful", "The BEST", "Artful".

Anything I would say about the story would just dampen the experience, if you haven't seen the movie, and wondering if you should....

And with Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter all at the top of their game...

WHY THE HECK HAVEN'T YOU SEEN IT YET.
WHY HAVENT I READ THE BOOK YET.

YOU AND I BOTH BOTH HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO!

The relation between the characters, the events that take place, the absolutely quote-tastic dialog. And the Ending, oh lord the ending.

My fellow Chyeah-ite, Turbo said it perfectly, "It's simply AMAZING."

"Even after repeated views, the ending just blows you away."

There you go fellow Chyeah viewers, the easiest movie review, the most complicated movie.

Chyeah! I give this movie 3 *spoiler alerts*

This is Killer (and Turbo), Signing out.

Welcome back Turbo.

Top 5 Music Producers

Turbo and I have been planning on doing this for quite some time. We've inadvertently put it aside until today. Honestly, we need more blogs this month so I've decided this needs to be one. This list is of 5 great producers in the music industry. It was, for the most part, easy to compile. What wasn't easy was the order and who to cut. There was really no criteria other than that the person had to be known as a producer. A few of people on the list are artists as well but they either produce their own stuff or are better known for their production. To tell you the truth, I don't know how we decided who didn't make the cut since we made the list so long ago. That being said, you might not agree. As a matter of fact, you probably won't. However, this is Chyeah! and we don't give a fuck!

#5. Dr. Dre

What's brown and rhymes with Snoop? This guy. Dr. Dre is easily the biggest West Coast Rap producer of all time. He's worked with the likes of 2Pac, Eminem, and the aforementioned Snoop Dogg. His debut, self-produced, album "The Chronic" is praised as one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time. He also coined the phrase "Deeez Nuuutz!" Just sayin'.

#4. Dan the Automator

When you've worked with the likes of Mike Patton, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, and Gorillaz, how could you not make the list. Dan is one smooth mother fucker, just listen to Lovage. I guess you could describe his beats as laid back. He's just so... cool. Deltron 3030 is one of my favorite hip-hop groups and it's largely due to Dan's mad producin' skills. Look out for his and Mike Patton's new project Crudo, it's sure to be awesome.

#3. Kanye West

Rod-man here, and for the record, this is my number one. Say what you will about Kanye West but anyone who appreciates Hip-Hop can't help but recognize his talent. Kanye has been producing for major artists since 1996. He's since grown into a giant in the rap and r&b industry. John Legend, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Common, Janet Jackson, and so many more owe some of their best songs to his production. Kanye is also known for his unique, while criticized, style known as the Soul Sample. I often here about how terrible it is that rappers sample old R&B songs but Kanye is a lover of all music. He pulls from every genre from electronic to rock and, of course, classic soul. He also has his own record label by the name of GOOD Music, and that's exactly what he creates.

#2. Rick Rubin

This man is a legend. There's no possible way I can say enough about what he's done for the music industry. He co-founded Def Jam Records and went on to create his own record company, American Recordings. The list of artists he's worked with is ridiculously extensive. The Beastie Boys, Run D.M.C., AC/DC, Linkin Park, Weezer, Jay-Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the list goes on and on. If you're not convinced as to why Rubin is on this list, just look him up. My personal favorite album of his is Licensed to Ill with the Beastie Boys but I'm sure he's got so much more amazing shit out there that I've yet to experience. He's just that damn good.

#1. J Dilla

The master of samples. God damn this man was the shit. Just listen to Donuts and you'll nahmean. He pretty much produced the whole thing while on his death bed. Some of the tracks are just straight up beautiful. He can make entire pieces of music with just samples and make it sound like something completely different. Even after his death he's a huge influence on hip-hop. To this day, people still make music using his beats. It just sucks that he had to go. Probably one of the most important dead people in music. Words can't do him justice. Listen to that shit, yo.

So that's it for this list. As always, we hope you enjoyed it. If not, tell us why in the comment section. Oh, I wanted to do some honorable mentions. The Neptunes, Timbaland, all the old white people I've never heard of, you know. They deserve to be here as well but tough shit. A'ight. 'Til next time. Chyeah! Ch-ch-Chyeah!

Grand Battle Review, Kinda

Chances are if you're into nintendocore then you've heard of iamerror aka Peet. It's shocking but a lot of people don't know that he goes by Monomate now and is still making music. Anyways, at the end of iamerror he released a demo with nothing but instrumentals. Cut to a year later and peet has finally finished these demos including a few other songs. It was well worth the wait, though. Without a doubt this is the best nintendocore album ever. Even though most nintendocore is pretty terrible and filled with nothing but peet wannabes, but you nahmean.

Grand Battle (or nintendocore in general) isn't really meant to be taken too seriously with its tongue-in-cheek lyrics, but even with that in mind this is still a good album. Grand Battle is best if you've been with peet for a while and know what's gone into making this album. Regardless, it's enjoyable for new listeners too. If you like video games you'll be able to appreciate the lyrics and probably have a good lol too. By the end of it I felt accomplished like I had been playing a sweet ass adventure game for the last year and it was finally coming to an end. I found myself reminiscing on it like I was watching a good credit roll. I know that's what he's saying in the last song, but I genuinely felt it.

I don't really know what else to say. There's five songs from the album on his myspace right now. And if you want to check out the instrumentals to see what you're getting, you can download Demo '09 for free in his myspace blog. If you like it enough pre-order Grand Battle. It's definitely worth it and would be nice to own his very first physical CD. I pre-ordered that shit as soon as possible. Linkage.

Favorite tracks: Understudy, The Surfing Song, Grand Battle

I rate this album one lowly, insignificant piece of cake.

Joy!

So today Nintendo had some... conference thing or whatever. Anyways, they announced the release date for Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M! Shing sparkle sparkle! May 23 and June 27 respectively. There's also a new Galaxy 2 trailer and it's amazing.

I didn't think I'd get this excited over the game. It just reminds me of everything that makes 3D Mario so great. It's like magic.

Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know. Chyeah and things.

Top 8 Albums of 2009

This is going to be a list of my 8 favorite albums of 2009. Why 8? Because I cum on lists and I don't give a fuck. Even though I say it's top 8, the order doesn't matter until I get into the top 3. Deal with it.

8. The Great Misdirect - Between the Buried and Me

I already reviewed this.

7. Dethalbum II - Dethklok

This too.

6. Tarot Sport - Fuck Buttons

Now that I've gotten those two out of the way I can start saying shit. I had never listened to Fuck Buttons before so I can't really compare it to their first album. But this thing is the shit. Imagine if a post-rock band went totally electronic. That's pretty much what this album is. Just sit there and get lost in the sounds of Tarot Sport. It's so soothing. One of the most relaxed records I've listened to. It's great to fall asleep to. Definitely check it out.

Genre: Electronic, Post-Rock
Favorite Track: The Lisbon Maru

5. Never Better - P.O.S.

Just got into P.O.S. this year and already he's one of my favorite rappers. Granted, it's not as good as Audition (his second album), Never Better is still better than most of the shit getting put out these days. Just a little piece of trivia for you, he references Mitch Hedberg on the first track, which is awesome. I just love P.O.S.' unique mix of hip-hop and punk/hardcore music. Everything from the beats to his vocals have a tinge of hardcore influence. And lyrics being such an important part of hip-hop, he definitely doesn't disappoint. This guy raps about real shit, unlike pieces of shit like Soulja Boy and Lil Wayne.

Genre: Alternative Hip-hop
Favorite Track: Purexed

4. Central Market - Tyondai Braxton

Let me just say that I am a huge fan of Battles (you might recognize them from LittleBigPlanet), but I had no idea what an amazing composer Tyondai Braxton was. How much better can I explain than like, the perfect mix of old and new. It sounds like a classical piece of music but with Tyondai's own twist on it. It's just amazing. Might I just add that I love his vocals. They're so weird and fun. This guy should compose for films.

Genre: Contemporary Classical, Experimental
Favorite Track: Platinum Rows

3. Axe to Fall - Converge

Converge are fucking legendary. Probably the best Metalcore band ever and one of the few one's that are actually good. Axe to Fall is comparable to Jane Doe. And that's saying a lot. This album is so fucking brutal it's ridiculous. There's not much to say really, it's typical Converge. Every track is delicious, especially the last two. And with guests like the dudes from Genghis Tron and Neurosis how could it not kick many much butts.

Genre: Metalcore, Mathcore
Favorite Track: Cruel Bloom

2. Remnants of a Paradise Lost - Impatient Outpatient

Peet is amazing. I can't stress this enough. Formerly known as iamerror and now known as Monomate, Peet makes some of the best new music I've heard. And the worst part is, no one knows about him outside of myspace. This has been an amazing year for him because he's matured a whole shit load as an artist. Unfortunately Grand Battle isn't yet finished otherwise that would have been on the list instead of this. That's not to say this is bad in any way though. The fact that it's number two on the list should tell you that. Peet explained it best when he said, "making beautiful music using ugly sounds" or some shit like that. But it's true. Just go listen to that shit, yo. His whole discography is available for free.

Genre: Electronic, Experimental Hip-hop
Favorite Track: Euphoria (gets my song of the year award too)

1. Crack the Skye - Mastodon

Wow. This record is amazing. One of the greatest accomplishments in new progressive music. Mastodon's previous records were great too, but this just blows them all out of the water. It's such an experience to listen to this in it's entirety. When I first got it, I listened to it at least 20 times. I even skipped school to go buy a copy of it on CD/DVD. And that's saying something, I never skipped school. Even after 9 months I still can't get enough of this album. One of my favorites of all time.

Genre: Progressive Metal
Favorite Track: The Last Baron

So that's my list, hope you liked it. All in all, 2009 was a good year. Chyeah!

Eskimooooo

As none of you probably know, I've been really getting into a band called The Residents lately. They're definitely one of the best bands I've ever heard and they're quickly becoming one of my all-time favorites. Starting in 1969 and still going today with over 60 releases, it's hard to find a starting point. Luckily I heard Eskimo very early on, which is their absolute best album, and one of the best I've ever heard from anyone. But this post isn't to review the album, it's to talk about my winning of a first pressing of the album on white vinyl. Released in 1979, you can imagine that it would be pretty hard to find a copy of this anymore. Luckily, I had eBay. The bidding started out well, I was the only one and it stayed at $9.99 for a while, which is a GREAT price. But then some asshole bid against me, so I'm like whatever, I'll just go higher I know it's worth it. But then two other assholes decided to bid too, and on the day the auction is supposed to end, what the fuck. But I kicked their asses and ended up paying $39 for it (that's with shipping). A little pricey for a record, but shit, I know it's worth it. So, the moral of the story is that even though work kinda sucks, it's awesome having money. I expect to buy many much more albums in the near future. 'Cause what the hell else am I going to spend my money on?

P.S. Expect pictures as soon as it gets here.

Oh, and on a side note for all you Penn & Teller fans. Penn Jillette happens to be a huge fan of The Residents. So is Matt Groening. :D

Update:
This is now the single most important thing I own.

TvC: Ultimate All-Stars Cover Revealed

I could have just made this the image of the day, but it's too awesome to be seen for only twenty-four hours. It's about damn time they released this thing too, and I've got to admit, it's pretty sexy. No Yatterman-2 though, what's up with that? If she's not really in the game then the Capcom side will have more characters. Maybe they're trying to trick us into thinking she's in it, but actually it's someone from Neon Genesis. I doubt it, but that's what I want. It would be so awesome to play as an Eva unit. Better than that Gold Lightan shit. I've never even heard of that guy. Whatever, just make sure you guys get this when it's released and be sure to check out my review of the Japanese version of the game. It would be cool to play with what little fanbase we have.

The Great Misdirect Review

After the disappointment that was The Fall of Troy's "In the Unlikely Event" I decided not to get my hopes up too much for Between the Buried and Me's new album. But that wouldn't have made the slightest bit of difference because this album just blew me away. I didn't think they'd be able to top themselves, not after Colors, but they went and did it. After two songs this album was already better than Colors. It's so much more progressive and experimental. They took a lot of influence from Dream Theater this time, and you can definitely hear it. From their bass lines to Tommy Rogers' keyboard playing. Speaking of keyboards, they're pretty excellent on this release. There's even a keyboard solo that sounds like something Jordan Rudess could have come up with. Hell, I even heard a little Fantômas on here, and THAT'S cool as shit. Now, I might be the only one, and I might be crazy for saying this but I couldn't help but think of The Ocarina of Time towards the end of Fossil Genera. This album is just full of stuff like that. There are so many little great moments that'll make you smile or think, "that's fucking awesome." Tommy Rogers' vocals have greatly improved on this record too, everything about them is better. Either that or he just uses them better this time. He decided to experiment a little more with them. In fact, everyone improved on this album, but that's no surprise. There was even a kick ass drum solo on Swim to the Moon. Well, maybe they're more like fills, but still awesome. There's no epic as fuck ending like there was on Colors, but it was still very satisfying (if you listen to it you'll know why) and the rest of the album more than makes up for it. So if you're a fan of progressive music, you owe it to yourself to check this shit out. And if you haven't heard Colors yet, get that too.

Genre: Progressive Metal
My track picks: Obfuscation, Disease, Injury, Madness, and Swim To The Moon

I give this album an endless amount of guitars that ate my brain.

Blah Blah Blah Mr. Freeman

Some of you might be aware of the All-Time Greatest Game Hero contest thingy that Gamespot held. Which, besides everyone getting all butthurt over the voting, wasn't all that great. Well, Gordon Freeman ended up winning with 55.8% of the votes. So what does Valve do? They offer every game in the Half-Life series for 55.8% off of course. But only for this weekend (Oct. 16-18), so get it while you can. They have Half-Life Complete, which includes every major installment in the series, for just $21.99. This is a perfect opportunity for those of you who haven't got the chance to play these games yet. This is probably one of the most important FPS games ever and you need to play it. Fuck Halo. Just head on over to the Steam store and check that shit out. And if you don't have Steam, go get it. It's pretty cool and you'll need it anyway if you want these games.

Top 5 Video Game Soundtracks

Gameplay is definitely the most important part of a game. But after that is the music. Well, except maybe characters and plot, but whatever iowngiveafuck. Music plays a major part in video games. More important than most people realize, I'm sure. It sets the mood for the entire game and since you'll be sitting there for 30+ hours, you'll want something good to listen to. This is my list (with the help of Rod-Man) of the best video game soundtracks ever. Keep in mind that I don't get a chance to play every single game and I know I'm missing out on some very popular soundtracks like Final Fantasy. But I have yet to play those games, so deal with it.

5. Shadow of the Colossus

Shadow of the Colossus is one of those titles that could make anyone consider gaming as an art form. The game is a masterpiece in almost every aspect. Alongside it's incredible visuals and gameplay aspects, SOTC had one of the best scores ever to grace a PS2 owner's ears. Composer Kō Ōtani does a magnificent job making music to grow and fade with the intensity of battle, adding to the rush and magnifying the scale of the game. Every track is placed perfectly alongside its beast. This makes choosing favorites rather difficult, but I'll try.
A Despair-Filled Farewell

4. Mega Man 2

Out of all the Mega Man games (and there's a lot) this one has the best music, hands down. Every song from the opening to Dr. Wily is catchy as fuck. Mega Man music has that certain sound to it that sets it apart from other 8-bit video game soundtracks, and that's why it makes it onto this list. It's no wonder that bands cover songs from this game so often. With around 9 stages, all with different music, there's a lot more variety than other games from the era. Every song is just great. I'd link to some of my favorites, but instead I'll just leave you with this.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

There's no denying that Kōji Kondō composes some of the best music for video games. If it wasn't for him, I honestly don't think the games would be as great. For someone who's composed music for almost every Mario and Zelda game, it's not easy to pick a favorite. But I grew up on Ocarina of Time and the thing I most remember is the wonderful music. I mean, a game focused entirely around a musical instrument, how could I not? I think part of the reason it's so great is that you get to play the music yourself. The perfect soundtrack for the perfect game.
Gerudo Valley
Song of Storms
Oh yea, I forgot. Team Teamwork. This guy does amazing mashups, and they're very much worth checking out.

2. Chrono Trigger

Now we're getting into it. I can honestly say this is probably THE BEST music I've ever heard in a video game. There's only one word that can describe this game's music, and that's epic. In every sense of the word. Pure concentrated epic in the form of music. I can't possibly begin to try and explain why it's so great. My advice is to just play the game if you already haven't. Don't just listen to it, this is something you need to experience.
Chrono Trigger
Secret of the Forest

1. Jet Set Radio/Jet Set Radio Future

You might be wondering, if Chrono Trigger has the best soundtrack I've ever heard, then why isn't it number one? It's simple really, I just prefer the music of Jet Set Radio. I'm doing both games because you can't possibly talk about one without mentioning the other. And what better than a soundtrack filled with electronic, funk, hip-hop, acid jazz, trip-hop, and j-rock for a futuristic game about a bunch of youngsters skating around spray painting all over a Tokyo-esque setting? Nothing. There's nothing better. There's a mix of both original compositions by Hideki Naganuma (who happens to be one of my favorite composers) and licensed tracks for these games. There are even some big names who make an appearance on the soundtracks. BS 2000 and The Latch Brothers (both are side projects of Beastie Boys members) contribute, with the latter doing mostly remixes. Not to mention Jurassic 5 who were responsible for getting me into hip-hop in the first place. It's hard to imagine a video game could do this, but these soundtracks had a huge impact on my taste in music, and I will always love them.
Super Brother
Let Mom Sleep
Funky Dealer
The Scrappy (The Latch Bros Remix)

So there they are. Good music, even by regular standards, not just compared to other video game soundtracks. I suggest all of you go out and listen to these and/or play their respective games because they're definitely worth it. Chyeah!

Top 5 Black Video Game Characters

There is no back story to how this hit me besides the fact that I'm black and I play video games. There really isn't a lot of representation out there for African Americans when it comes to gaming. Black people in games always seem to show up as side characters in fighting games or trash talking big guys with bigger guns. Occasionally you see them as the leader of some kind of operation (i.e. Ultimate Nick Fury). These are fun every once in a while but it gets annoying. With gaming diversity being so vast, it's sad that more black characters aren't seen in exciting roles. This list is of the best and most diverse black gaming characters. Not much else to say so let's turn on the Black Power, my brothas.

5. The Demoman- Team Fortress 2
You thought the Scotch Koreans were hilarious, eh? Well they ain't got shit on this guy. That's right, a Black Scottish Cyclops (maybe some pirate too, I wouldn't doubt it.) This guy shoots grenades at people and walls and blows them the fuck up. Not much else to say really. Whether it's setting traps or charging the enemy head on, this guy's the man. Plus he uses a bottle of liquor as a melee weapon. Shit, I don't see why not. If you still don't believe how much of a badass this guy is check out his video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxps--huGKY

4. Eddy Gordo- Tekken Series
Number four on our list comes to us from Brazil. That's 2 non Afro-americans so far if you're counting. Eddy is one of the most loved characters in the Tekken series and he's the only reason I know what Capoeira is. Eddy Gordo is without a doubt the most frustrating opponent one can ever fight in a Tekken game (Especially if you use Hwoarang like I do). He's always flipping or jumping or some crazy shit like that and you can never get a hit off of him. Anyone who can use him knows they can put a check in the win column before they ever leave the character select screen. Unfortunately, Eddy was replaced in Tekken 5 in favor of Christie Monteiro. She has most of the same moves but without the swagger and smoothness that earned Eddy a spot on this list. Here's hoping he's more than an alternate costume in Tekken 6.

3. Drebin 893- Metal Gear Solid 4
If you don't know who Drebin is then you're missing out on an amazing game and one of the most interesting characters of any race. Basically, Drebin is a gun launderer. He'll sell Snake anything from ammo that literally makes enemies cry to anti tank rocket launchers. Drebin knows all about the Patriots, B&B Corps, and all that other shit too confusing for me to explain. Just know that this man had the balls to stab Solid Snake in the neck with a needle and track him without even fearing for his life a little bit. I mean just look at him, he is the definition of cool. If the shades and 'do weren't enough, he also happens to drive a tank everywhere with a pamper wearing monkey as his only companion. You chew on that for a while and get to #2 when you're ready.

2. Barret Wallace- Final Fantasy VII
Check this $#!+ out mutha f*=&as! Barret is known for his foul language and shoot first, ask questions later mentality. You may think that he's a ridiculously obvious stereotype but he's very deep. He shows a love for his teammates and adopted daughter, Marlene throughout FFVII. If that means nothing to you, it might help to know that he has a fuckin' gun for an arm. He lost his hand in an unfortunate accident so instead of a prosthetic hand he just got a minigun put on. Throughout the game, he gains the abilities to shoot lasers, bombs, and sometimes turn his hand into a mace and beat the hell out of opponents the old fashioned way. In Advent Children he had a mechanical hand attached but as far as I'm concerned, that never happened. While it's not all too practical to have a gun for a hand, it is hardcore. Hardcore enough to land him the number 2 spot on this list. Not quite enough to be the best though. That's next. I bet the suspense is killing you so you'd better scroll down.

1. Knuckles- Sonic Series
Before you freak out just think about it. Knuckles is black. He was black before anyone else on this list was being drawn or even imagined. Sure you could say he's red but that would be racist. How dare you base someone's skin color on the color of their skin. You should be ashamed. Knuckles is and has always has been the best Sonic character. He punches, he glides, he swims, he climbs, and he's the rival of the fastest thing alive. I bet he can fly too but he just doesn't want to make Tails feel bad. He's also the guardian of the Master Emerald, a responsibility not given to just any echidna. He pretty much controls all chaos. I'm pretty sure Sonic couldn't even handle that. Congratulations to Knuckles for being the greatest black video game character ever. This puts him on the same level as Piccolo in token implied-black members of hero teams. It's an extremely exclusive club and Knuckles had to break a lot of walls to get there.

That's it. Hope you enjoyed. Yada yada. Chyeah chyeah. Black Power!

God Dammit, Charlie

That's right people, it's that time of year again. One of the funniest shows to ever grace television, and this Chyeah writer's eyes, is starting up again. I'm speaking, of course, of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. This show is so God damn funny, it's ridiculous. It's even influenced this blog team's lives in more ways than they realize. Our pseudo intellectual conversations wouldn't be what they are without Sunny. Which is one of the reasons why the show is so funny, that and their complete disregard for anyone but themselves. I love saying pseudo intellectual, it makes me feel smart. There isn't much to say really, just go watch the fucking show if you've never. And then watch the season premiere tonight at 10 on FX. It's sure to be great.

The Dethalbum II Review

Greetings, and welcome to our first ever album review. Now, if you're familiar with the cartoon Metalocalypse then you're most certainly familiar with Dethklok. Although fictional and at first seeming like a joke, Dethklok are surprisingly good. We saw this with the release of the Dethalbum, recorded almost entirely by Brendon Small, the creator of the show, with the help of legendary drummer Gene Hoglan. In the cartoon, Dethklok seem like nothing but a parody of death metal, but we soon found out that Brendon Small is a very skilled musician and great song writer.

While the first album retained the comedy element found in the show, The Dethalbum II is much more serious. This time a lot more developed musically. Showing elements of other genres such as symphonic metal and even tribal music. But one of the most impressive aspects of this album are the vocals. Nathan Explosion, the fictional vocalist, can be seen as a sort of mockery of death metal and speaks with a growl all the time. On the first album his singing wasn't much different from his speaking voice, which resulted in a very monotonous feel to the vocals. But on the new album Brendon Small decided to use actual screams and death metal vocals. And I'll tell you what, they sound damn good. Sometimes even to the point of not sounding like Nathan Explosion anymore. Also, Brendon's guitar-work on this album is quite impressive. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better than the first album, it absolutely does. If you were a fan of The Dethalbum definitely pick up Dethklok's newest release, it's worth it.

Genre: Melodic Death Metal
My track picks: Bloodlines, Black Fire Upon Us, Murmaider II: The Water God

I rate this album many much cups of Duncan Hills Coffee.
Blacker than the blackest black times infinity.

Oh, and speaking of Dethklok, turns out there were some tour dates added and the Mastodon/Dethklok tour are heading to my area. I will do everything in my power to get to that concert. Chyeah!

Prepare to Get Your Shit Ruined

By this man right here.

That's right, one of the biggest baddest asses in the history of comic books is finally getting his own movie and it will most likely rock your face off. If you don't know who the man in the picture above is, go away. But since you're still here I guess I'll tell you anyway. It's Lobo.

One of the main reasons this movie will kick ass (besides the fact that Lobo is in it) is because Guy Ritchie was recently announced to direct it. Guy Ritchie directed Snatch. He probably did some other stuff too, but Snatch is all that matters, really. If you saw it then you know just how bad ass a Lobo movie can be. If you're a fan of comics or just like seeing mean mofos like Lobo fuck shit up then you should go see this movie when it comes out next year.

Dethklok and Mastodon are touring together

♪... and I jizzed in my pants. ♪

Some of you have probably heard this already because they advertise it on Adult Swim. But I cum on your advertisements, and I don't give a FUCK. Anyways, there isn't much to say really. If you like progressive and/or melodic death metal go see this. Because I won't be able to. Oh, and Converge are pretty legendary too. Also, if you've never heard of these bands, check them out. Especially Mastodon since Crack The Skye is the best album to come out all year. Man, why are there so many tours in which two of my favorite bands team up but decide not to come to Virginia? It is, indeeed, some bosh. Nevertheless, this tour is about as Chyeah as it gets.

Tour dates muhfucka.

Something Different

So, Rod-Man (aka MCA for this particular post) and I got to talking about some pretty interesting stuff. About halfway through I had the idea to post our conversation on Chyeah!, he agreed so here we are. This is the first time we've done a post like this on Chyeah!. Enjoy...?

Tômas: i wonder how different things would be if we didn't have to sleep

Tômas: we'd probably have rocket cars

MCA: hmm

MCA: a third more time

Tômas: indeed

Tômas: that would put us 670 years ahead

Tômas: i think

MCA: I think it's best not to think of these things

MCA: all the time wasted

Tômas: yea, maybe not

MCA: idk if I could be up all the time

MCA: everything would be different

Tômas: maybe if we were already used to it

Tômas: like, it's just the way people are

MCA: it wouldn't be a problem

MCA: but tv for instance would always have to be on

MCA: new shows all times of day

MCA: no throw away hours

Tômas: nope

MCA: what might we be doing right now?

Tômas: who knows if they would extend school hours or not

Tômas: if so, we could get through it faster

Tômas: and most people we know would be out of college already

MCA: idk

MCA: maybe they'd teach us more

MCA: since there is so much time

Tômas: you're probably right

Tômas: there would be more stuff to learn since people are up all the time discovering shit

Tômas: and more history would have happened

MCA: this kinda shit mindfucks people

Tômas: i guess we'd never be tired

Tômas: so it would be easy to go places like school

MCA: we'd have to have way more energy

MCA: and some means of replenishing it

Tômas: we might need to eat more often

Tômas: like, 8 meals a day

MCA: which means food disappears faster

Tômas: but with all this extra time we might be able to solve the food crisis that would inevitably develope

MCA: it's like a paradox

Tômas: we need a what if machine

Tômas: like that thing they use in futurama

MCA: if we never needed sleep then we might have one

Tômas: shit

MCA: they achieve it by the year 3000 with sleep

MCA: without it I don't see why we can't have it now

Tômas: not to mention how unproductive people are in the morning due to tired

Tômas: so no tired means even more work gets done

Tômas: that puts us at least some years more ahead

MCA: would we have ever developed coffee?

MCA: or soda

Tômas: hmm

MCA: energy drinks?

Tômas: probably soda, since no one drinks that to get energy

Tômas: they just drink it because it's good

MCA: true

Tômas: but maybe not those other two

Tômas: we obviously wouldn't miss them though

MCA: we sure as hell wouldn't have 5 hour energy

MCA: what's 5 hours gonna do if you're always awake.

Tômas: i can live in a world without five hour energy

Tômas: their commercials are annoying

MCA: true

Tômas: i srsly dongivafuck that monster has 12 tsps of sugar

MCA: lol

MCA: shit man

MCA: no beds

Tômas: probably couches though

MCA: where would people primarily have sex?

Tômas: just because we don't need sleep, i'm sure our legs will still get tired

Tômas: maybe beds would be invented then

MCA: sex pads

Tômas: that's probably what they'll be called

Tômas: when would kids watch porn then?

MCA: hell if I know

Tômas: this changes more than we originally thought

MCA: I guess when they didn't have school.

Tômas: i guess our parents would be working more

Tômas: but we'd also be going to school more

MCA: parents could work however many hours they want

Tômas: damn

Tômas: they ould

MCA: unless the job prevented

Tômas: could*

MCA: but they could just work many jobs

MCA: as long as they keep eating

Tômas: yea, why not

MCA: would food be more or less expensive?

Tômas: less

Tômas: remember we solved that crisis

MCA: so it's free?

Tômas: maybe at first

Tômas: but eventually i'm sure they'll find a way to make us pay

MCA: maybe for high energy food

MCA: like apples

MCA: which apparently are good to eat for breakfast

MCA: in our time

Tômas: along with cereal, orange juice, and some toast

Tômas: 'cause you know, complete breakfast according to commercials

MCA: right

MCA: I don't think it would matter when you ate what though

MCA: in no sleep time

Tômas: yea, i guess not

Tômas: there wouldn't be breakfast foods

Tômas: there would just be food

MCA: indeed

Tômas: which means no brinner

MCA: fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Tômas: srs

MCA: no dreams

MCA: daydreams maybe but they're nowhere near as hxc

Tômas: nope

Tômas: but we wouldn't know any better

MCA: how many things have "come to someone in a dream" though?

Tômas: shit

MCA: the entertainment business might be far less extensive

Tômas: that's no good

MCA: like you said, we wouldn't know

Tômas: so video games could be highly advanced

Tômas: but with shit stories

MCA: exactly

MCA: I was going to say it'd be like Halo but Halo isn't advanced.

MCA: all games would be like... Gears?

Tômas: maybe not even

Tômas: who knows if we would even have ideas about aliens

Tômas: don't most people get "abducted" when they're sleeping anyway?

MCA: I think so

Tômas: what about blacking out though?

Tômas: would we still have that

MCA: is that sleep?

Tômas: i don't know if it counts

Tômas: i think blacking is more like a defense mechanism against yourself

Tômas: blacking out*

MCA: lol

MCA: blacking sounds racist

Tômas: lol

MCA: I guess not

MCA: since you're not doing it for energy

MCA: people might freak out when others black out or faint.

Tômas: if people don't black out though they could be more likely to drink themselves to death

MCA: maybe we'd go in comas

MCA: more often

Tômas: damn

MCA: what would happen if you didn't eat?

Tômas: starve

MCA: so we'd starve faster if we didn't sleep, right?

MCA: because we're using more energy

Tômas: probably

MCA: they say you can go 3 days without food

Tômas: i thought it was 3 days without water and a week without food

MCA: my b

MCA: I can still make a point though

MCA: I'm pretty sure you could only go 2 days without water then due to math.

Tômas: yea, maybe

MCA: and 4 or 5 without food

Tômas: makes sense

MCA: what would people do after sex?

MCA: just leave?

Tômas: damn

Tômas: it sounds awkward to just cuddle for a while then leave

MCA: srs

Tômas: 'cause usually they cuddle until they fall asleep

Tômas: or rather until

Tômas: i said until

Tômas: my b

MCA: there could be no 1 night stands.

MCA: well they'd be much different

MCA: and probably better thought out

Tômas: right

MCA: like agreed upon that it's meaningless sex

MCA: since you can't just dip out afterward

Tômas: unless you trick her or something

Tômas: like, 'hey what's that over there'

Tômas: and run

MCA: lol

MCA: I'm wondering what it would be like outside

Tômas: we'd still have day and night and shit

Tômas: maybe just lots of people out all the time

MCA: that's what I was thinking

MCA: but parents would want kids inside when it was dark, right?

Tômas: probably

MCA: so what would kids do all night?

MCA: hmm

Tômas: hmm

MCA: maybe they'd school all night

MCA: and have days free

Tômas: that's what i was thinking

Tômas: damn man

Tômas: then wal-mart at 3 am won't be special anymore

MCA: there would be way more 24 hour stores

Tômas: maybe all of them

MCA: I was thinking all of them

Tômas: since people have way more time to work

Tômas: and no need to sleep

MCA: true

MCA: what about sundays though?

Tômas: 24 hour stores right from the beginning

Tômas: probably work

Tômas: since we do now, and we would be more motivated to if there was no sleep

Tômas: if you nahmean

MCA: I nahmean

MCA: but some stores just close early

MCA: what would be closing early if all of them other stores are always open?

Tômas: i know alcohol stores are closed on sundays

Tômas: maybe that'll stay the same

Tômas: since there's more work it doesn't seem like there would be time to party

MCA: there will be a lot of people not working though

MCA: or not working as much because work still sucks I'm sure

Tômas: true that

Tômas: but night time would be totally different

Tômas: so maybe parties wouldn't happen then, but any time

MCA: and if no one ever needs sleep, parties would last forever

Tômas: holy shit

MCA: or at least until all the heroin/balloons are gone

Tômas: that doesn't sound good

Tômas: parties aren't meant to last forever, i'm sure

MCA: nah

MCA: they might only end in fights and deaths

Tômas: probably more drunk driving too

MCA: indeed

MCA: more fires

Tômas: how are these people going to undrunk without sleep?

MCA: drugs that we develop with our extra time

Tômas: maybe they'll just throw up

Tômas: this alternate reality with no sleep isn't sounding as cool as before

MCA: lol

MCA: just like fairly odd parents

MCA: dammit

MCA: what happens when someone accidentally makes a sleeping pill?

Tômas: people start taking them because sleep is going to be so awesome to someone who's never had it

Tômas: then there will be a whole problem with people sleeping

Tômas: no work getting done

Tômas: and we'll just be back to where we are now

Tômas: well, not back since it never was

Tômas: but you nahmean

MCA: I nahmean

MCA: so this world ultimately ends in the world we're in now

Tômas: right

Tômas: just maybe 670 years ahead

Tômas: in terms of time spent working

MCA: right

MCA: if we were sleeping right now we never would have figured this out

Tômas: indeed
